About

OfflineDeck started as a shared notes file between three friends who kept swapping recommendations for games that don't nag you to stay online. It grew into a proper site because we got tired of app store descriptions that promise the world and deliver a loading spinner.

We only cover games we've actually installed and played for a meaningful stretch — usually a week or more. If a title claims to run offline but secretly locks half its content behind a connection, we say so plainly. That honesty is the whole point of the project.

Games get picked for a mix of reasons: a friend won't stop talking about one, a reader emails a tip, or we spot something quietly excellent that nobody wrote about. We ignore hype cycles and marketing budgets. A tiny indie puzzler gets the same fair read as a big-name RPG.

Nobody pays us to feature a game, and we don't pretend to be objective robots. These are opinions from people who love the medium, written the way we'd tell a friend over coffee.
