Keeping offline games without filling your phone

Offline games tend to be chunky. Since they bundle all their assets locally, a good RPG or racer can eat a couple gigabytes. If you love collecting them, storage management becomes a real skill.

My routine is a monthly cleanup. I keep three or four games I'm actively playing installed and archive the rest. Most modern phones let you offload an app while keeping its save data, so you can reinstall later and pick up right where you left off.

Watch out for games that cache huge amounts of temporary data over time. Clearing a game's cache occasionally can free up surprising amounts of room without touching your progress. Check the app settings before you delete anything.

And back up your saves if the game supports local export. Nothing stings like losing forty hours in an offline RPG to a wiped phone. A little caution keeps your library safe.
